Yasso

Our story began as many great stories do, in a kindergarten classroom probably during snack time.

It was during our time in the classroom that we became close friends and bonded over our love of sports. Dedication, hustle, and a competitive spirit throughout our school years landed us D1 athletic scholarships in soccer and track.

As athletes, we paid close attention to nutrition. But while many aisles in the grocery store were stocked with better-for-you options, ice cream was seriously lacking. You could either save calories by sacrificing taste or reach for the super-premium options that offered little-to-no nutritional value. Not very cool. So, we took this as a challenge and tackled this problem head-on by going to ice cream camp (yup, really). It was there where a simple, yet revolutionary idea first took shape: frozen Greek yogurt.

Yasso was the first frozen Greek yogurt, and people couldn’t get enough of it. So with the first products on the shelves, we bought an old ice cream truck and toured the country to hand out samples. After getting fans’ feedback, we quickly expanded our fruit flavor lineup to include classic ice cream parlor indulgences. Today Yasso offers 16 delectable varieties of stick bars plus 8 brand new pints, and thanks to a competitive spirit and uncompromising drive to change the game, Yasso continues to leapfrog legacy brands up the list of top desserts. And outside of the freezer aisle, we’ve set our sights on changing our communities, too, with the launch of the Game On! Foundation, helping others crush their goals and cultivate their inner health rebel.
