As a passionate angler and entrepreneur, I acquired Simms Fishing Products in 1993 and relocated it to Bozeman, considered by many the fly-fishing capital of the U.S.
The company was the brainchild of visionary angler John Simms who saw a need to develop better waders and accessories than what was then available on the market. Simms was one of the first companies worldwide to introduce neoprene waders, which provided enhanced warmth and waterproofing gear for serious anglers pushing the limits of their fishing pursuits.
Founded on the pillars of innovation, we continue to build the highest quality products to keep anglers dry, comfortable, and protected from the elements – no matter the conditions. As a great example of our partnerships with other leaders in industry-leading products and technology, we introduced breathable waders in a trailblazing partnership with W.L. Gore & Associates (makers of GORE-TEX® fabric).
We have a staunch commitment to U.S.-based manufacturing and business ideals and cemented our Bozeman roots with a large facility housing corporate headquarters, warehouses, and a production facility.
Today, I’m as passionate about angling and Simms as I was when I got involved in the business 25 years ago, with a strong commitment to fisheries conservation and inspired product development of the world’s premier technical fishing apparel, footwear, and equipment. As a company, we give back to the community and directly support organizations working to protect and preserve our cherished rivers.
