I spend my time looking for the next great consumer brand and working alongside our partner companies.
These companies have incredible brand DNA, and we believe in their potential to scale and reach more passionate consumers. Our role is to support founders and management teams as they navigate the ups and downs of building their businesses – and to know when to stay out of the way.
I joined Castanea in 2014 and have been fortunate to work with the teams at Donald Pliner, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Proenza Schouler, and Yasso. Prior to Castanea, I specialized in operations planning and analytics at One Kings Lane, an ecommerce platform for home décor. I also worked with Rocketship Education, a network of elementary charter schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before business school, I sourced and invested in later-stage consumer brands and services at another private equity firm, TA Associates. I started my professional career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley.
I was born and raised in the Boston area and received a BA in Mathematics from Williams College. While at Williams, I ran track and cross country and had the opportunity to study abroad in Paris. I later earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an MA in Education from Stanford Graduate School of Education.
After stints in San Francisco and New York, I returned to my Boston roots. When not in the office, you can usually find me on the mountains – hiking in the warm-weather months and skiing in the winter. Although I love to travel, I often can be found dabbling in the Boston food scene and running along the Charles River.
